IMPACT OBJECTIVE
By focusing on degraded soils restoration and forest conservation, and the improvement of the smallholders’ livelihood through the introduction of sustainable agroforestry practices, the URAPI fund contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the UN as part of its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Social.
We strengthen the livelihood and the entrepreneurial skills of smallholders, regardless of their gender, by promoting sustainable land use. This includes mobilizing resources to give them access to adequate financing, technical assistance, and essential infrastructure, boosting their enterprises and generating employment growth.
Environmental.
We promote measures for the sustainable management of agroforestry systems and forests to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the increase in carbon capture. These measures include halting deforestation, restoring degraded forests and agricultural lands, as well as increasing activities related to afforestation, reforestation, and ecosystem conservation.
Economic.
We encourage income diversification and provide quality services and inputs. By promoting the opening of new markets and value chains, we contribute to increasing the value of sales and producers' income. By offering farmers opportunities to market their products more profitably, we support their economic growth.
